For how long may I conclude a contract?

It depends only on the customer; contracts are offered for a definite or indefinite period of time. Every customer is always clearly informed about what type of contract s/he is signing, and what the conditions regarding termination notice for that contract are. Customers in the wholesale category sign contracts for a definite period of time: one, two, or more years are standard. Customers of small-scale consumption sign contracts for an indefinite period of time, with a notice of termination of 3 months.

What is important to know before changing suppliers, and how should the customer proceed?

The customer should have a look at the contract for combined services of electricity supply which s/he concluded with the existing supplier, and find out for what period the contract was concluded (a definite, indefinite period of time,....). Afterwards, just contact RSP Energy, a.s., and its staff will explain all matters relating to a change in supplier.

     1.    Vemex Energie – will help the customer to understand the existing contract
     2.    Vemex Energie – will prepare a new contract for combined services
     3.    Vemex Energie – will handle all requirements connected with a change in supplier

How to proceed with a change of supplier?

  • Check your existing contract and conditions for a notice of contract termination.
  • Contact Vemex Energie, a.s., trader in electricity and natural gas.
  • Under a power of attorney, Vemex Energie, a.s. will arrange the notice of contract termination for you, and subsequently perform all other tasks necessary for changing suppliers.

How will I be connected?

A change in supplier does not lead to any change in the terms of connection. The electricity and natural gas market is divided into two separate parts:

  • Technical - procurement of connection, distribution, measurement - fully regulated
  • Commercial - supply of the commodity itself (electricity, natural gas) - fully deregulated

The technical part - distribution - is always ensured by a local competent distributor, i.e. such as ČEZ Distribution for electricity or RWE GasNet for gas. The distributor has an exclusive monopoly over distribution of a commodity in a given region, and its prices are fully regulated by a price decision of the Energy Regulatory Office. Prices are the same for customers with the same type of connection and the same distribution rate, and are not in any way dependent on a trader.

For the commercial part - supply of a commodity - price is fully deregulated; a trader determines the price for a customer.

Basically, a change in supplier only changes the invoice amount and the services which a trader offers. It does not change the type and character of the connection in any way.

How will the measurement of consumption be carried out?

A distributor who is obligated to provide measured data to a trader for invoicing shall remain liable for measurement. The trader - supplier - issues an invoice on the basis of data received from a distributor.
